Driveway entrances are often one of the most undefended points around a property, allowing water to flow directly towards buildings during heavy rainfall or flood events. Our bespoke driveway flood barriers are manufactured to suit individual access widths and provide a temporary defence when flooding is anticipated. Once positioned and secured, the system forms a watertight seal across the entrance designed to minimise water ingress while maintaining everyday access when not required. Barriers can typically be deployed within minutes when flood warnings are issued.
Both the FPS Flood Barrier and Nautilus systems use lightweight, removable aluminium panels that slot into permanently installed side rails or demountable posts positioned at the driveway entrance. Once assembled, the barrier creates a strong and dependable seal against floodwater. With regular maintenance, the systems can be reused across numerous flood events, providing reliable long standing protection.

The success of a Driveway Flood Barrier depends on the wider defence around the property, with Flood Walls, Non-Return Valves and Water Pumps requiring consideration.
Alongside this, depending on the location, Flood Zone, and water displacement, this may require an Environmental Permit to consider Floodplain Impact Calculations supported by a Flood Risk Assessment. These can be undertaken by our sister company FPS Environmental Ltd.
