Protecting the Church Hall
Posted 15. 08. 2023
The Church Hall at Duffield had been subject to flooding on numerous occasions. Following a Flood Survey conducted by a 3rd party, the hall required suitable proposals to help defend against backflow and water entry via the apertures. FPS were instructed to conduct a measurement survey before installing appropriate flood mitigation measures.
The clients requested that flood barriers across the main outward opening doors were installed internally such that they could still access the building with the barriers in place. This required careful installation to ensure a flat and level surface with no trip hazard. The ground was previously uneven with a doormat set into the floor, however the FPS team provided a suitable and discreet solution to allow the compression post to be installed.
Where necessary, ground strips were installed to ensure a suitable seal.
The measures have provided peace of mind and all parties were delighted with the end result.
